A temporary storage tent provides a durable, industrial standard storage solution, at speed.
Industrial storage tents are quick and cost effective solutions, they provide affordable space and storage shelter. A storage tent is typically made of highly durable PVC walls, re-enforced with a strong but light aluminum frame, combined with a PVC roof. The roof can be insulated for enhanced thermal performance. Storage tents are commonly used for short and medium term storage requirements for warehousing, product and pellet storage through to industrial manufacturing and waste management and processing.
Our storage tents are manufactured in “bays” which provide the length. These are typically pre-fabricated in 5m lengths. Eave heights of up to 10m can be achieved and the span, or width, can reach 40m across.
ARE THEY JUST GLORIFIED MARQUEES?
Storage tents do share some similarities with marquees as they are easily installed, removed and relocatable. That’s where the similarities end. Storage tents are suitable for a wide range of storage requirements and are used for different purposes, compared to marquees.
An industrial storage tent is hardwearing, long lasting, highly durable structure with robust aluminium frames. The structure is assessed by engineers to ensure wind and weather loading meets the required standards to provide a long-term solution. An industrial storage tent uses more durable and long lasting installation techniques such as resin anchors, tension and depending on the ground conditions, weights. Whereas a marquee may use pegs, lightweight poles, guy ropes and groundsheets. The key differences include:
Material
Marquees are typically made of weather resistant fabric or other flexible materials, while storage tents use high quality materials that are designed to be in place form many years.
Size and shape
Storage tents can be larger and more customisable in terms of size and shape, with multiple access and security options. Due to their modular construction, additional space can be seamlessly integrated into an industrial storage tent.
Functionality
Storage tents can be used for a variety of long-term purposes. This includes warehousing, secure storage, event spaces, and click and collect facilities. Marquees are not designed for all year use. They are a good solution for a very short-term requirement over a weekend. This is because they don’t comply with BS standards, meaning marquee may not receive planning permission.
