The Requirement

As retailers cement their omnichannel experience, we were asked by one of our returning clients to deliver their 5th click & collect facility. The requirement was to enhance the customer journey and provide much needed temporary storage space for their growing click and collect operation.
The temporary building needed to be in close proximity to the store so that goods could be transported freely between locations. Full insulation was also required, together with several entry and exit points to keep up with the fast-paced operation.

The Solutions

As the project was installed on an under-utlised tarmacked plot of land in good condition, we were able to install the temporary building within just over a week.

Field & Lawn provided a clear span temporary building to maximise storage space, giving an impressive clean and modern 14m x 44m temporary building.

Click and collect temporary building

The new structure will enable the client to continue expanding their operation to meet the ever-growing demand for Click & Collect.  Importantly due to the modular nature of temporary buildings, if the client requires more space in the future, it can be quickly bolted on to their existing space.

We understand that the customer experience is an important factor in the retail industry. That’s why we provide a temporary building that has a ‘permanent’ look and feel to provide a high quality shopping experience for valued consumers.

The fully insulated structure provides 616m² of additional storage space, fitted with a double skin inflatable roof system providing great insulation and acoustic qualities. This coupled with 60mm insulated sandwich panels, means the building will be comfortable all year round.   One 2.5m x 4m electronically operated roller shutter doors was installed, as well as a rapid action zip door to allow for trollies of goods to be wheeled out into the car park with ease.
