Matalan required a new temporary building to be used as a machinery store, to re-house a large industrial baler. Adding a new temporary building has created extra internal space, maximising their productivity and capacity.
9m x 22m x 6.7m (ridge height 8.52m)
Matalan required a new temporary building, linked to two vehicle loading doors that would connect directly to their existing distribution centre. The industrial structure needed to be robust, durable and dry.
Field and Lawn were able to design the building to cover the external space while allowing for a slight gradient on the site. To accommodate this gradient, bespoke legs and base plates were manufactured by our partners Protan Elmark.
A unique guttering system was designed specifically to connect the buildings and make water tight. An anti-condensation liner was installed to ensure the structure will be drip free to protect the machinery inside. The industrial temporay building connects directly to the existing building.
Temporary buildings make good machinery storage solutions. As temporary buildings are modular, they can be designed to fit the plant or machinery you need to protect. As they don’t require significant groundworks, we can install a temporary building on virtually any site or location, even with gradients and existing site constraints. We can design a bespoke solution that works for your business. With a range of access options they are highly flexible storage options in the industrial and distribution sectors.
