Field and Lawn has a proud history of supporting local communities and upholding strong social values

Field and Lawn are passionate about providing social value and harnessing the power of our business as a force for good. Consequently, this generates benefits for the local economy and wider community. We have strong social values and are conscious of our environmental responsibilities. This means the business is continually working to reduce our environmental impact and deliver MEANING social, economic and environmental value for our community, our staff, our supply chain partners and our customers.

Being the best that we can be for our people

Accredited Living Wage Employer: We are proud to be one of the few companies in our market who have committed to paying our staff a wage. It means that the costs and pressures of everyday life are more manageable.
Comprehensive Staff Training: Secondly, there is a clear investment in our staff. On average, they receive 9 days of training each year. This is significantly above the UK average, enabling them to expand their skills and develop their knowledge. We also hold regular cross company collaboration events and celebrations.
Staff Development: Finally, we are committed to developing our people and providing progression opportunities. As a result of this, 60% of our supervisors and managers have been promoted within the company. Some have even been with us since we were founded in 1986.

Supporting Young People to Thrive: Field and Lawn is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to thrive. We sponsor grass roots sport, invest in community initiatives and hold volunteering days for staff to contribute their skills to meaningful causes.
We also undertake regular charity events and raise thousands of pounds annually for good causes that make a difference locally. Recent challenges include the Edinburgh Kilt Walk and there are many more in planning!
Helping Community Groups : To conclude, we have been supporting local community groups for over 30 years, including The Edinburgh Cycle Club and Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity.

protecting our environment

We are committed to sustainability and delivering positive social, economic and environmental outcomes on our projects. Field and Lawn are on a decarbonisation pathway to achieve net-zero carbon status by 2050. To achieve this, we are working with our dedicated sustainability specialist, who is a certified ISO 14064 verifier for carbon accounting and reporting.
Air Pollution Reduction: Transport is provided by a modern fleet, and all our larger vehicles are Euro 6 compliant. We have a plan in place to switch all cars, vans, and smaller lorries to electric and hybrid vehicles by 2030.
