Field & Lawn has a remarkable history and one that we are very proud of.

The history of Field and Lawn is as interesting and vibrant as our current business.  We have been a part of some of the biggest moments in recent history. From great sporting achievements like the Olympics, to the Christmas lights on Oxford Street, and the biggest festival in the world: Glastonbury. The core of our staff have been with us for a long time.  Including foreman, drivers, and even a director who started as a rigger! We have learned, adapted, and grown continually to develop into the diverse and effective business we are today.

To be well-known for our work across all four divisions, gives us a great sense of pride. Our most memorable projects include installing the UK’s largest walk-through LED Christmas Tree in Wembley Park. A project that still gets a lot of attention today was creating a bespoke, temperature-controlled warehouse structure to house a life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex in Glasgow! Our journey continues, but we have come a long way from building small marquees for weddings and parties. Albeit we still do this as well!

It has been the trust and confidence in our staff’s ability to adjust and rise to new challenges that has allowed us to survive and thrive. We are established industry leaders in our fields of event marquee hire, providing world class placemaking and exceptional Christmas lighting displays. More recently, growing a large and successful temporary building division.  This enables customers to rent storage space or buy a new temporary warehouse.

Our Journey to where we are today

Our geography allows us to offer a truly national service.  Having local branches means we can deliver projects as far South as Cornwall, and as far North as the Faroe Islands, and most places in between. Whilst we provide complex services across the whole of the UK, the most important thing we supply is a personal service.  We have been well known for our friendly and helpful service throughout our history. Nothing makes us prouder than when a client returns for our services and speaks fondly of our staff.  From the project manager who found a quick solution to an unforeseen issue, to the foreman who went the extra mile to help on site.

The history of Field and Lawn is unique. Operating four divisions across a network of local branches enables us to provide a fully comprehensive service. Our set up has a strong format, and our focus is simple.  Be better than our competition and adapt to what our clients want. Field and Lawn is stronger than ever, with a growing temporary building offer and an increasing city dressing and placemaking client list. As ever, we shall continue to look ahead and move forward.  Playing close attention to the small details, as well as delivering the big projects. We would like to thank all our staff, both old and new for their efforts and contributions to making Field and Lawn what it is today. We look forward to working with you to write the next chapters in the history of Field and Lawn.
