Transforming London's most famous high street

Oxford Street in London is the nation’s most famous high street and This is Oxford Street was a pioneering event to showcase what can be achieved when brand, destination marketing, placemaking and experience is unified.

Oxford Street was transformed with art installations, an urban forest, sports pitches, chill out zones, live performances and food and drink from around the world. The creative team from Field and Lawn played an expert part in the special day, installing rows of specially designed, cross street flags that stretched the length of Oxford Street, helping to draw the crowds through the space.

A specialist installation

What makes this installation remarkable is that all the flags were installed in just one night by our dedicated, in-house installation teams. The flags feature a bespoke “This Is Oxford Street” design. It demonstrates how we can re-imagine our high streets for the future, giving shops a real boost, reducing vehicle pollution, enhancing safety and creating unique and memorable experiences.
