Temporary Building Refurbishment Saves Carbon and Cash - Field & Lawn

Temporary Building Refurbishment Saves Carbon and Cash

A major national retailer approached us concerning the appearance and integrity, of their two 17-year-old temporary buildings.  Find out how the team at Field and Lawn helped get this project over the line in just three days on site…

LOCATION: Corby

SIZE: 25m x 30m x 3m

SECTOR: Retail

The Requirement …

The temporary buildings had been used as overflow storage areas for cages, trollies, and tote boxes but had suffered significant wear & tear damage and required a good overhaul to make the space safe and watertight, as well as new PVC covering to the roof and gables.

The Solution…

Field & Lawn had initially attended site to carry out a full visual inspection of the structure and report back with findings to advise of any maintenance work. Acknowledging who the manufacturer of the structure was, we had removed one roof sheet, one gable, and temporarily recovered the structure with our existing stock. This enabled us to work with an expert supplier, sending the old PVC to the manufacturer, so that they could replicate new sections to the exact dimensions to avoid any complications further down the line.  The project was particularly challenging due to removing old, weathered PVC panels.

Added Value…

The client had requested us to dissemble and dispose of, the linked smaller 6m x 18m structure, and close up the bays that this had been joined to.  In addition, their existing double leaf doors were removed and replaced with new, complete with push bars, locks and closers.

The Results!…
