Industrial laboratory building ready for action
After successfully completing other projects for the same client, Field and Lawn were approached to design, supply and build an industrial laboratory at a recycling plant in Warrington.

Size: 10m x 15m on a 5m eave. Total area 150 Sqm. Ridge height of 7.02m
Sector: Industrial Temporary Buildings
An industry leading recycling company required a temporary building to house small ovens as part of a new on site laboratory and testing facility they required for the aluminium they recycle
We worked with the client to specify and design a structure that would accommodate their bespoke industrial laboratory equipment safely. Our manufacturing partner, Protan Elmark produced the frame with a 7.02m ridge height, allowing the client to maximise the space available on site and ensuring residual heat from ovens would have cooled before reaching the roof.
The structure was fitted with a manual roller shutter door and 2 pedestrian doors for access.
UPVC Guttering was installed (15m to each side) with downpipes.
Our bespoke temporary buildings are highly versatile and this project demonstrates the multiple uses of temporary buildings beyond traditional storage.
Our structures can be linked directly to existing buildings or can be standalone.
Engineered to any specification, our structures are designed to meet the relevant BS6399 and Eurocodes for wind and snow loading. They offer a quick, cost-effective, and flexible solution to create more efficient use of existing space.
Frame: Aluminium clear-span structure with 4 channel aluminium extrusion beam, 5m bay length, 22-degree roof pitch, snow loading capacity of 75kg/m2 and wind loading of 28 m/s.
Roof: Single skin PVC material roof 650g /m2, non-flammable, fully tensioned.
Door: 3m x 4m manual chain operated roller shutter and 2x 1.8m x 2m emergency pedestrian doors
Guttering: 30m (20m to each side) UPVC gutters to eaves of structure with downpipes
Lighting: 12no x LED eco flood lights 50w
