Field and Lawn Ltd is a national company made up of four divisions: Event Marquee hire, Temporary Buildings, Festive Lighting and Placemaking. With bases in Bristol, Runcorn, Edinburgh, and London, we have seen consistent growth each year across all our divisions.
We are now recruiting for seasonal Marquee Riggers and Site Supervisors for our busy summer months. This will be a unique, exciting and diverse role within the industry. Giving you chance to work outdoors, during summer to bring some of the biggest and best events to life!

We have a number of roles available, including both full-time and part-time positions. During the summer months we provide our event marquees for a wide range of uses such as: music and food festivals, international sporting events, shows, exhibitions, and corporate hospitality. We supply a wide range of marquees and event structures, from large clearspan marquees through to temporary tent structures, no build is ever the same!

To be successful in these varied roles you will need to be an excellent communicator and team-player capable of hard work or work getting the most out of your team on-site whilst liaising with clients and project managers. In addition, we expect you to be fit and energetic, have a willingness to learn.

Marquee Riggers
- No experience necessary! Full training and support will be provided!

Site Supervisors
- Minimum of 3 years marquee/structure experience
- Able to safely run a site safely and recognise potential risks
- Able to manage, motivate and lead teams
- Able to develop and educate all members of your team
- Able to understand and appreciate the importance of health and safety
- Able to deal with clients, sub-contractors, and site management

Crew Boss / Marquee Foreman

We are now recruiting for a Marquee Crew Boss / Marquee Foreman with a minimum of 5 years of experience in clearspan structures, who is eager to develop their knowledge and learn new skills. This will be a unique and diverse role within the industry. We are committed to developing the right person through training and experience into a competent all-rounder, incorporating Festive Lights, Placemaking and Temporary Buildings into their skill set.

During the summer months we provide our event marquees for a wide range of uses such as: music and food festivals, international sporting events, exhibitions, and corporate hospitality. We have also partnered up with a leading European manufacturer to supply and install custom made, permanent and semi-permanent temporary buildings throughout the UK at all times of the year. These are designed specifically for the client and no structure is the same. They can be used for warehousing, workshops, canteens, loading canopies and sporting courts.
A growing element of our business in recent years has been installing festive lighting schemes from October-January. We are involved in some of London’s biggest Christmas lighting displays such as Oxford Street and Bond Street, as well as big cities such as Kingston and Cambridge. In 2020 we had 22 teams (each team consisting of 2 crew and a mobile cherry picker) operating out of our Bristol depot and working on our lighting projects across the South. Outside of the Christmas period we are actively involved in installing decorative flags, banners, and bunting (placemaking) into many well-known streets around London to compliment the areas during the summer period. We are in the process of developing this sector to supply even more decorative products for high streets and public spaces.

Salaries are extremely competitive ranging £30K – £40K but will be discussed on an individual basis, depending on your skill set and experience.
Candidates for this particular role would be required to operate out of our Runcorn Branch, Unit 1A, Aston Lane South Whitehouse Industrial Estate, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 3FY. Ideal candidates would also have a full & clean driver’s licence and forklift experience. Other positions may be available at our other branch locations.
